Flipgrid: Students’ Perceptions of its Advantages and Disadvantages in the Language Classroom

The purpose of this study was to investigate students’ perceptions the effects using Flipgrid (FG) on their learning experiences and advantages disadvantages its use in Arabic as a foreign/world language (AWL) classroom. Thirty students participated completed survey composed an 18-item, 5-point Likert-type questionnaire open-ended questions. Results indicated that even though were skeptical about FG beginning, they developed positive attitudes towards by end semester. provided with safe, low-stress platform for practice while allowing them track progress, which turn helped learners gain more confidence listening speaking skills. Students enjoyed perceived it having influence well social cognitive engagement main disadvantage listed 27% participants lack immediate feedback recorded Flipgrid.
